Description

Versatile drive-in house on intimate courtyard.

In 2011 there were already rave reviews about the architecture and diversity in Het Parool to happy experiences of the first residents of Leeuwenveld in the WeesperNieuws. Over 10 years later, the district is mature and the mix of building forms and diverse composition of the newcomers here have led to a close-knit community. Its location next to the historic center and access to a multitude of amenities adds to the district's appeal. Especially if you include the fantastic accessibility, by road, rail, bicycle and water via the river De Vecht.

The drive-in house is hidden behind a high reed belt. The official entrance is located in a special courtyard - the residents call it Atrium - around a communal, green outdoor area with playground, under flowering Chinese wingnut trees. This is a central meeting place for both adults and children. Well the joys, not the care for the greenery and privacy when you want it.

When the project was completed, this house was already furnished as a model home. Attention to comfort and an eye for detail and design can still be found here. This already starts with the striking layout. From the front door or the garage you enter the sleek hall with toilet. The kitchen is obviously on this first floor. Here you immediately notice the partly high ceiling and the two layers of double glass doors. Thanks to the loft, there remains a connection with the living floor. The kitchen has a timeless look, thanks to the customization of the Bulthaup kitchen , with all built-in appliances. The linoleum contributes to good acoustics. From the dining table you have a view of a busy life among the reeds and water plants. Here the swans, coots and grebes scurry past each other. This excludes the traffic and prevents the view of cyclists, walkers or car drivers.

An open, industrial staircase leads to the large open living space, where the light enters from two sides. On the south side there is distance to the windows and you can easily communicate over the balustrade with those present in the kitchen. On the north side, two tall windows overlook the communal garden. The house is built in a slight trapezoidal shape. This is not noticeable until you pull out a tape measure, yet it indirectly contributes to the dynamics of the sightlines; your attention is drawn to the sun.

The same style staircase leads to the next two floors of living. On the 3rd floor, two spacious bedrooms lie on either side of the house along a landing. The ceiling height here is a whopping 2.69 meters. The large room on the south side has double glass tilted doors. The slightly smaller room on the north side has been furnished by the current residents as a study. The very spacious bathroom is located in between. Here you have a double sink, bathtub, separate shower and toilet. The top floor houses the third room on the south side. The generous dimensions are the same as one floor below. This room has a hardwood floor, giving the sloping lines an extra accent. Next to it is the large storage room with washing machine connection. The wide landing can be used as a drying or ironing room and opens onto the roof terrace. This outdoor area is hidden from direct view behind a stone balustrade .

The Anna Horstinkstraat 80 is on own ground. The house was completed in 2010, gasless and thanks to the high capacity Danfoss air / water heat pump you never use more energy than necessary. Warm in winter and cool in summer. And it is also installed in the garage, with a low-noise system and power supply.

Togetherness and cooperation are key words for this neighborhood. The VvEs, owners and landlords work together very well here to keep the neighborhood attractive. Unpaid parking and only local traffic certainly contribute to the enjoyment of living here. The neighborhood is loved by all generations, from young to old. Not least because the train station is just a stone's throw away, but also because of the excellent facilities around. From the annex of the Ter Gooi hospital, with all possible care providers (obstetricians, physiotherapists, speech therapists and much more) to schools, sports facilities and nature in the immediate vicinity.

Those who like a quirky, sleek style of living will find a multitude of possibilities here for comfortable living and working.
