Light, air and water!

This water house from the early 90s has something you do not often find: you imagine yourself to be in the middle of nature, but gardening is not necessary! You can dive straight into the water, or sail away in your boat from your own private terrace. You can attach a boat of up to 6.75 meter directly to the sunny (south-west) terrace.

All walls are finished (except toilets and garage) with clay which includes small crystals which reflect light. Clay plasters are the ecological wall coating par excellence, natural air conditioners.
Clay delivers a pleasantly balanced and healthy indoor climate in all seasons: Works as thermal stores, warming the interior when the outside temperature is low and cooling it when it is high. The ecological building material creates diffusion-open, breathable surfaces that absorb both heat and humidity and then release both again evenly. This creates a stable temperature, binds dust and odours and reduces the risk of mould growth. A strong plus also for allergy sufferers!

The water house has a playful layout, which allows you to go in many directions.

ground floor layout

At the front you enter a hallway, through a separate door you can also reach the garage. Here is a separate toilet and the staircase that winds its way through the house like a snail's shell.
The next room is the eye-catcher of the house: a spacious kitchen diner that extends into the terrace at the water's edge. Along the glass facade, a spiral staircase in the void at the water's edge leads to the living room on the first floor. It is very light because of the two-storey high glass facade, spacious because of the void over the entire width and with a 'sea' of water and air as a view.

The kitchen has underfloor heating. The garage has plenty of space for storage and/or use as fitness room.

Through the spiral staircase in the void you reach the first floor with a cozy living room and a lockable guest room or study. Through the staircase in the middle of the house you can also reach this floor.

The complex is located like a semi-circle between the Amsterdam Rhine Canal and the old town of Weesp. Via the Verlengd Buitenveer you can sail straight to the Amsterdam Rhine Canal, the Vecht or the lively, historic centre of Weesp. You can cycle to the NS railway station in less than 10 minutes. Near the house you will find several supermarkets, a secondary school and playgrounds.
Weesp has good restaurants, including De Eendracht, 't Weesperplein and, last but not least, Nelis IJssalon, with excellent ice cream. There are also many cafes with nice terraces and special local beers and brews.
